Policy Update.
Spectator and Affiliates Code of Conduct Policy
Bribie Island Tigers Committee advise the implementation of a new policy (attached) Spectator and Affiliates Code of Conduct Policy. A Special General meeting was held on Wednesday, 18th March 2021 where all committee members unanimously voted yes to the implementation of the new policy.
The policy has been developed to ensure Bribie Island Tigers meets Sunshine Coast Footballs updated policies regarding approaching referees.
Bribie Island Tigers and Sunshine Coast Football has a commitment to ensure our referees, players and spectators are not at the mercy of other spectators who feel it is acceptable to abuse and belittle as part of the match. Adult spectators, who abuse junior referees and junior players from the sidelines are of particular concern and instances of this kind of behaviour needs to cease but it can be as equally as damaging for a senior referee to be on the end of this kind of behaviour. Likewise, Team Officials should ensure they do not breach the FFA Code of Conduct with poor or undisciplined behaviour towards the opposition, spectators or in their dealings with referees.
